Our team has built up definite expertise in the detection and mapping of soil contamination. To support soil experts and environmental consultants in delivering reliable solutions based on accurate site investigations to their clients, the set of available on site data collection tools is expanding year by year.
The aim of the EnISSA-MIP is to find a better balance between analytical uncertainty and spatial uncertainty in the conceptual site model by bringing high quality lab detectors to the field. To increase sensitivity and selectivity of the conventional Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) system, the EnISSA method uses a modified GC-MS system which is connected to the MIP. The advantages of using a GC-MS detector, are the low intrinsic detection limits of the detector and the capabilities to measure individual compounds. Field evaluations demonstrated that the EnISSA MIP is capable of measuring soil profiles for individual compounds with detection limits near 10-20 µg/l. Whether or not in combination with the EnISSA -MIP analysis, also measurements with the Hydraulic Profiling Tool (HPT) or CPT can be offered.
For an HRSC approach on fuel/oil/tar/creosote impacted sites the Optical Image Profiler is a suitable tool to increase data density and decrease uncertainty in the conceptual site model.
With the XRF probe, mine tailings can be characterized in a more detailed and cost efficient way.
Soil gas samples (sub slab, or with soil vapor probes) or ambient/indoor air can be screened or monitored on site with the advanced equipment of our field labs.

iFLUX developed an innovative groundwater monitoring solution to explore speed and direction of pollution flow underground over a certain period. Flux measurements deliver essential information before, during and after the soil contamination management process. Trustworthy flux results provide customers key insights to perform fast and cost-efficient soil remediation.
Trustworthy groundwater monitoring to assess soil contamination is a challenge. Current methods for the determination of movement of pollution in groundwater use no direct measurements but only simulations. This entails large uncertainties which cause remediation failures and higher costs for contaminated site owners. iFLUX introduces a flux sampler that provides direct and accurate measurements of groundwater and pollution movement. This leads to a novel approach of dynamic remediation management in a more cost-effective and faster manner.

Injectis is a young company specialized in high quality direct injections of reagents for in-situ soil and groundwater remediation. For this purpose, Injectis has developed the patented Spin® injection technology especially designed to overcome some of the limitations encountered with conventional direct injection technologies. The principal characteristic of the Spin® injection technology is that it avoids soil compaction and soil smearing at the point of injection. As a consequence, lower injection pressures can be applied and significantly higher injection flow rates can be achieved without unwanted fracturing to occur. Moreover, hammering, which could create a preferential flow path along the injection rods, is not being used to drill to the desired injection depth. As a result, there is a high degree of certainty that the product is being injected at the desired depth and in the targeted soil layer. The Spin® injection technology is very effective in low permeability and heterogeneous soils what has been proven in multiple projects. This innovative technology has extensively been tested during the last 2 years and has been used to inject different types of reagents on different sites and in different soil types. Testing has revealed that injection fluids can be injected at lower pressures avoiding short circuiting, even for shallow applications. Success has been achieved at several sites where direct push injections have failed. During the last year, the system has been further developed to allow injections in and under gravel and sandstone layers; the Gravel-SpinTM.
